Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families!  May you be blessed today, and all the days!  I am most thankful for my family.  They are my everything.  

Fall Colors...

Fall papers are so pretty - no they are gorgeous!  But I don't take a lot of fall photos.  You can really only have so many pics jumping in the leaves, and at the pumpkin patch.  I am an avid YouTube watcher - I  mean really...who's not?  Cat Martin used this fun leaf cut from her silhouette and I knew I had to do it too!  I gave my hand a try at the packaging technique - you know where you spray your mists on to some old packaging and then smoosh it onto the paper -- It came out ok...the picture dont show off the pretty gold, but all in all I think it came out good!  and yes, I had to back each leaf with patterned paper.  Another time consuming idea, but it looks soooooo good!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this quote, and of course I wanted to find thee perfect picture to add to it.   I think I did just that.   The quote on here is all cut from my silhouette and was a pain-in-the-you-know-what!  BUT --it's perfect!  Other than that, this layout came together really quickly!  This is a design of my own with lots of fun layers!

I have really been into making layouts lately.  I had been in a lay-out slump.  I got caught up on my project life, then other projects rolled in - Heather's Wedding, Sissy's Birthday - So I got to a point that I didn't want to clean my desk to do something for me, something fun, something different.  As I was searching through a bin, I found a couple of pictures and thought - I feel like scrapping these!  And so the bug bit me.  I've been wanting to try a layout with no patterned paper - what?!?! - only using washi tape as my background.  So I set off in my ever-growing pile of washi and picked several that would go with my pictures.  A few silhouette cuts later..and we have a layout~  the bug has bitten.  I love the way it turned out!
